1. CUT
Cut around the design you would like to use and remove the backing.

2. PLACE
Position the transfer on a clean, dry surface with the design facing up. Make sure you are happy with the placement before you begin, as the design cannot be repositioned once transferred.

3. RUB
Hold the film firmly in place and rub evenly over the entire design using the included wooden stick. Pay extra attention to the edges, fine lines, and small details to help the design transfer completely.

4. PEEL
Slowly and carefully lift the transparent film. If any part of the design has not fully transferred, stop peeling, lay the film back down, and rub that area again before continuing.

Best for

• Smooth paper and journal pages
• Non-stretch fabric
• Unfinished wood
• Dry clay
• Stone
• Canvas and other suitable craft surfaces

Avoid

• Rough, highly absorbent, or fibrous paper
• Cracked or flaking surfaces
• Velvet or fuzzy fabrics
• Oily or coated surfaces
• High-gloss finishes
• Transparent glass
• Very dark-coloured surfaces

Rub-on stickers work best on clean, dry, light-coloured surfaces with a smooth or lightly textured finish. Highly textured or unstable surfaces may prevent the design from transferring completely.

Please note: Each transferred design may have a fine, approximately 1 mm translucent edge. This is usually subtle on light-coloured surfaces but may be more noticeable on dark or transparent surfaces. When trying an unfamiliar material, test a small, inconspicuous area first.

Care

To help your transfer last longer:

• Avoid scratching or repeatedly rubbing the transferred design.
• For fabric projects, gentle hand washing is recommended.
• On suitable fabric, transfers may withstand approximately 2–3 gentle hand washes, though durability can vary by fabric and application.
• For extra protection, a compatible clear coating may be applied after transfer. Test on a small area first.

Removal

Rub-on transfers are removable, but the method and results will vary depending on the surface.

• On suitable hard surfaces, baby oil, rubbing alcohol, or adhesive remover can generally be used to help remove the transfer.
• On fabric, rubbing or washing may gradually remove the design.
• On paper and other delicate or porous surfaces, removal may damage the surface.

Always test any removal method on a small, inconspicuous area first.

What are rub-on stickers?

Unlike traditional peel-and-stick stickers, rub-on stickers transfer the design directly onto the surface through gentle rubbing. Once applied, they have a soft, matte, printed-on look that follows the texture of the surface underneath.

Are they waterproof?

Not fully. They can tolerate occasional contact with water on suitable surfaces, but repeated washing, soaking, or scrubbing may affect the design.

Are they permanent?

No. Rub-on transfers are removable, but they cannot be repositioned once transferred.
